Are Bioclimatic Pergolas fully waterproof?

Yes. When the interlocking slats are fully closed, our pergolas are completely waterproof.  The roof has a slight slant which enables the rain to run into the internal guttering which is connected to downpipes concealed in the posts.

What is the warranty you offer?

We offer a 10-years limited warranty on our pergolas against any manufacturing defects, including the aluminum and the motorized louver opening and closing mechanisms.

What foundation do I need for my Hanso pergola?

You can install and secure the pergola onto any flat, solid surface as long as the dimensions of the area are correct. Concrete, resin, paving slabs, wooden and composite decking as well as many more surfaces including porcelain and other tiles.

We recommend but not essential to install concrete pads below the porcelain tiles where the feet of pergola will sit or a full concrete base rather than sand or hardcore.

How long will it take for the pergola to arrive?

Our current delivery times are 1 to 2 weeks when it is in stock. And 8 to 12 weeks if it is not in stock or special sizes or color, from point of order.

What are your pergolas made from?

Our pergolas are made from high quality powder coated aluminium. 6063T5 ALUMINUM ALLOY with a heavy-duty double layer design.

Are our pergolas automated?

The slats on our pergolas are fully automated and hardwired to your electric supply. You can control the direction of the louvers using a remote control, smartphone or tablet.

Can my pergola be freestanding?

Yes, many of our Bioclimatic Pergola models P-120 are capable of being free standing. If you are unsure which model would be best for your home, our team can carry out a site visit and provide you with expert advice on your potential options.

Can the pergola be attached to my house?

Yes. Our Wallmounted Pergolas can be attached to the side or back of your home.

How long will it take to install my pergola?

Installation time will vary between projects and is largely dependent on the amount of preparation and groundwork required prior to installation. Prior to installation we will carry out a site survey and be able to provide you with a better time estimate for completion.

Do I need planning permission for a pergola?

It is usually not necessary to acquire planning permission prior to installing a pergola. However, you may require planning permission if you want to attach your pergola to the front of your house or you live within a conservation area. We recommend that you contact your local authority if you are at all unsure whether you will require planning permission.

Can I see one of your pergolas in person?

Yes. We have a showroom in Margate, Florida, where you can view and test all our pergola models.

Do I need to carry out any maintenance on my new pergola?

Our bioclimatic pergolas require very little maintenance to keep them looking and functioning great. However, every now and then you may need to clear out the integrated gutters and downpipes to ensure proper drainage and clean the frame to remove dirt. Our installation team can give you further guidance on how to best maintain your new pergola.

What color can my pergola be?

Our pergolas are available in either anthracite grey or textured white as standard, however, you can choose any RAL colour you want for an additional surcharge.
